Thankful

Thanksgiving is so wonderful.  A holiday devoted to being Thankful.  We have much to be Thankful for, that is for sure.  I am thankful for Tenth Street Baptist Church, A Godly Leader of the church-Brother Ron, my Sunday School Class Dry Bones, my friends in the church body (especially my sisters!)  my family, children that love Jesus, my husband whom the Lord has joined me in flesh to, parents who raised me up with a commitment to serve the Lord, a Father to my firstborn who loves the Lord and shares the same Faith, Songs of Worship the Lord has given us that warm my soul like nothing else, a country where we may worship without fear of imprisonment or death, and I am even Thankful for the long-sufferings of this Earth that imposes trials on all believers like myself.  I can say that in the last month I have learned how to "Praise Him in the Storm" and to say Thank-you Lord for the trials you allow believers to go thru to strengthen and preserve our faith.  We have touched on this in several discussions in the church body lately.  If you are a Christian, you can not escape trials.  Brace yourself as you are in one of three positions....1) Coming into a trial 2) In the midst of a trial, or 3) On your way out of a trial.  Thank goodness we are all at different stages of this, as we are needed to comfort others during their trials!  I am so thankful to those of you who have been praying, comforting me, and strengthening me in the last month.  I love you all, and am so Thankful that God is so faithful.  Most of all I Thank-you Lord Jesus for the sacrifice and price you paid for my sins.  The Lord has been bringing me to see the "controlling" side of my nature that I need to let go of.  I ask you Father to continue to work in me to see the rottenness of my sin and to be open to letting you "Control" me.  I trust you with my future completely and know that you can handle anything that comes my way or any of my friend's way.  Help me to not lose myself in fleeting emotions, not to be anxious about the future, but to hang onto the promises in your Word.  Thank-you, Thank-you, Thank-you for the majesty of your creation and for the opportunity to enter into your presence one day.  I can hardly wait! I love you Lord. Amen.

PS....What are you Thankful for?!?!
