Merry Jesus Birthday!

Hi Ladies! I can tell we are sooooo busy because no one is writing and when I see you----Wwwweeelllll do I look as tired as you all?! LOL! Let's keep focused on JESUS--the ONLY reason for the season! The battle for Christmas rages on! Hubby and I are doing our level best to focus on those we love and care about instead of trying to find the "perfect" material gifts. Enjoying time together and not "the stuff"! :) Actually he is great at it! His motto: KEEP IT SIMPLE!!! He is always after me to slow down and reeelllliiiiissshhhh the moment! As you can see, he is my special gift from GOD to me---keeps me anchored and focused. I pray that each of you have a JOYFULL(Jesus/Others/Yourself--full) holiday season and that health and vitality for you and your family is one of your great presents from our Creator. Keep on the lookout for mission opportunities GOD allows us to be involved in!
I need prayer for our daughter---she found out this week that she is going to have to have another surgery on her leg (the one she broke this summer). Probably in January and boy do they need a financial blessing as well as a healing touch from the Master! Thank you! I love you all and am so thankful for all of you~~my sisters! Thirsty Granny

Thankful

Thanksgiving is so wonderful.  A holiday devoted to being Thankful.  We have much to be Thankful for, that is for sure.  I am thankful for Tenth Street Baptist Church, A Godly Leader of the church-Brother Ron, my Sunday School Class Dry Bones, my friends in the church body (especially my sisters!)  my family, children that love Jesus, my husband whom the Lord has joined me in flesh to, parents who raised me up with a commitment to serve the Lord, a Father to my firstborn who loves the Lord and shares the same Faith, Songs of Worship the Lord has given us that warm my soul like nothing else, a country where we may worship without fear of imprisonment or death, and I am even Thankful for the long-sufferings of this Earth that imposes trials on all believers like myself.  I can say that in the last month I have learned how to "Praise Him in the Storm" and to say Thank-you Lord for the trials you allow believers to go thru to strengthen and preserve our faith.  We have touched on this in several discussions in the church body lately.  If you are a Christian, you can not escape trials.  Brace yourself as you are in one of three positions....1) Coming into a trial 2) In the midst of a trial, or 3) On your way out of a trial.  Thank goodness we are all at different stages of this, as we are needed to comfort others during their trials!  I am so thankful to those of you who have been praying, comforting me, and strengthening me in the last month.  I love you all, and am so Thankful that God is so faithful.  Most of all I Thank-you Lord Jesus for the sacrifice and price you paid for my sins.  The Lord has been bringing me to see the "controlling" side of my nature that I need to let go of.  I ask you Father to continue to work in me to see the rottenness of my sin and to be open to letting you "Control" me.  I trust you with my future completely and know that you can handle anything that comes my way or any of my friend's way.  Help me to not lose myself in fleeting emotions, not to be anxious about the future, but to hang onto the promises in your Word.  Thank-you, Thank-you, Thank-you for the majesty of your creation and for the opportunity to enter into your presence one day.  I can hardly wait! I love you Lord. Amen.

PS....What are you Thankful for?!?!

Empowered........

Thank you so much for your posts. I am always so encouraged and uplifted. It is so important that we do stay connected and that we encourage one another personally and in our prayers. More importantly that we pray for the discernment of the Holy Spirit in our lives.This has been something that I have taken to heart and want so much in my life as I know all my sisters do as well. Satan can cause so much havoc in our lives emotionally when we do things we feel like God has called us and led us to do. He makes us doubt, feel foolish and even crazy!! Yes at times Satan does trip us up. He is so deceptive. Be encouraged my beloved if God calls us he will enable us. When Faith rises Doubt Descends!!Amazing things happen when people are filled and controlled by the Holy Spirit!So I encourage you today pray for knowledge and Spiritual wisdom, Pray that individually we would live a life that is pleasing to the Lord.That our motives would be pure and holy, that we would empty our selves of any selfish desire. We are completely dependent on you Lord! Lets be courageous women For Jesus! Empowered and filled with his Spirit today and forever more!!! In Jesus name...........

Renewal Needed....just me or you too????

Wow, am I in need of some Renewal.....my last 10 days has been jampacked, and my spirit has paid the price!  Thankfully I had a nice visit with with ThirstyGranny today (I love her posting name!)  and I realized a little later how I must keep the Heavenly Goal Post in sight no matter how many tackles come my or my teammates way on the run.  We must keep running, zigzagging, moving and stumbling toward that Final Field Goal!  It's so easy to get discouraged, but we must remember our Goal! Jesus is our final destination!  Thanks ThirstyGranny for uplifting me!

Sisters, we are such a vital part of lifting each other up!!!....I am getting soooooo excited about the Ladies "Shampoo Shower" I will have the privilege of hosting on Saturday Nov. 12th.  If anyone has any ideas or things they want to share that day, just get in touch with me or ThirstyGranny.  If you would like to help prepare any food that would be awesome too.  I am going with the theme of "Brunch Snacks".  Appetizers, dips, brunch type foods should be easy enough I think.  The theme for the devotion is "Daily Cleansing and Renewal from the Inside-Out".  Please help me make a special effort to reach out to all of the ladies in the church and invite them to come.  This Sunday I will be involved with 2 back to back Sonrise Church Visits....Hatton Chapel at 9am and South Evans at 10:30am, so unfortunately I won't be worshipping with you physically this Sunday, but know that I will be with you in Spirit.

Until I see you again don't lose heart and don't worry too much if trouble has come your way!  What troubles do we have with Jesus as our Savior!  I love you all! Blessings, MK

Good Morning!
What a month this has been!!! I Corinthians 15:58 is our First Place memory verse this week and so very appropriate!

~~ 58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.~~

OOOOh how GOD underlines every where I turn! :) I know Sister ThirstyMomSJ2 has been sick and ThirstyMomTM3 also. ThirstyMomMK1 has been/is in Texas @ a meeting. The enemy doesn't want us to stay connected~~~Hence, I am reaching out in space with hugs of prayer to all of you

~~~"Our Magnificent HOLY FATHER~~~Thank you for all my sisters. I ask LORD that YOU wrap them tightly in YOUR loving, protective arms. FATHER, give us the strength and courage to be steadfast-immovable-and abounding in YOUR work. We claim YOUR promise LORD that it will NOT be in vain! Bless them as we go our separate paths and I pray Father that YOUR HOLY SPIRIT washes through their homes, husbands, and children as my sisters focus on YOU and the work YOU have ordained them to do. I love YOU LORD~~~as I do them!":)
My verse of the day!
''And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart'' -Galatians 6:9 Quotes by DodsonEng
I have a bible quote app on my phone. This was my verse for today. It encouraged me greatly and thought it might encourage you as well. Have a great day, ladies. I love you all!
